Chiranjeevi to go on helicopter campaign

Hyderabad, March 4: The Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi will be the first Opposition leader to campaign for polls in a helicopter.
According to the PR spokesperson, Mr P.L. Mahender, the party chief will embark on a state-wide tour on a helicopter on March 6. “He will go to Bhainsa in Adilabad district on March 6 and undertake whirlwind tours across the district for two days,” Mr Mahender said.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti supremo, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, his son, Mr K. Taraka Rama Rao, and party’s star campaigner, actor Vijyashanti, will also undertake a swift tour to muster the support of people for the party in the Bell Helicopter of Deccan Air Lines.
The TRS leadership has submitted a letter on Wednesday to the chief electoral officer of the state, Mr I.V.Subba Rao, seeking permission for air travel.
The pink party’s leadership also requested permission for party ideologue, Mr K. Jayashankar and some other leaders to fly in the chopper.
Junior NTR will also go on a state-wide tour from March 11 in a helicopter to his grandfather’s village, Nimmakur, in Krishna district.
