Kutami accuses CS, DGP of being biased

By J.R.PRASAD

Hyderabad, March 9: The Mahakutami on Monday stepped up attack on the chief secretary, Mr P. Ramakanth Reddy, along with the director-general of police, Mr S.S.P Yadav.
With the election authorities refusing to entertain verbal complaints against officials and seeking specific instances of “biased” functioning, the alliance partners lodged written complaints with the Chief Electoral Officer, Dr I.V. Subba Rao. A delegation comprising Mr K. Ramamohan Rao (Telugu Desam), Mr Y. Venkateswara Rao (CPM), Mr K. Ramakrishna (CPI) and Mr N. Narasimha Reddy (TRS) met Dr Rao and submitted the memorandum. In complaints against both the officials, fisheries scamster Mr V. Suryanarayana figured prominently.
“We want to bring to your notice the biased, questionable and subjective style of functioning of the chief secretary,” said the Opposition leaders.
They said the chief secretary issued orders favouring Suryanarayana and attempted to keep the involvement of several big-wigs under wraps .
They said the Chief Minister returned the favour to the chief secretary by openly giving clean chit to him.
