Hyderabad, March 13: The “reel” life rivalry between Chiranjeevi’s family and Mr Dasari Narayana Rao, the veteran film director and Congress leader, has now entered the “real” life as well.
The Praja Rajyam general secretary and Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law, Mr Allu Arvind, while making an oblique remark about Mestri — a satirical movie produced by Mr Dasari Narayana Rao to take indirect pot-shots at the Praja Rajyam — said, “We don’t even think about that movie. Everytime during the polls, several such movies are released and they all bite the dust. This movie (Mestri) too would end up as a flop.
He called upon the Chiranjeevi fans and the Praja Rajyam activists to simply ignore the movie.
“Soon after the movie fails to attract viewers, the producers will realise their mistake” Mr Aravind said while addressing a media conference at the Praja Rajyam’s central office in Hyderabad on Friday.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law made an appeal to the PR supporters and activists to generously give donations to the party, which is facing a cash crunch.
To receive the cash donations, the PR leadership has opened an account at the ING Vysya Bank, in Banjara Hills. Funds could also be deposited at the party website www.praja-rajyam.org, he added.
