Hyderabad
March 26: The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, has ended up “poorer” after ruling the state for five years.
The loss of some assets he held earlier would be mentioned in the affidavit he files with his nomination before the Pulivendula As-sembly constituency returning officer on April 2.
Dr Reddy surrendered his land in Idupulapaya two years ago after realising that it was assigned land. He also transferred property rights of a house in Banjara Hills to his son and Congress candidate for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, Mr Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. He doesn’t own a car or a house now. Sources said Dr Reddy had transferred rights of another house in the Sagar Society colony to his daughter even before taking over the state’s reins.
