Daggubati book to expose Naidu

Hyderabad

March 20: Congress MLA, Dr Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao, who is also the son-in-law of late chief minister N.T. Rama Rao, disclosed on Friday that he has written a book The other side of the truth revealing the sequence of events that led to the fall of NTR’s government.
The former chief minister was dethroned in a family coup enacted in August 1995.
“The book is ready in Telugu and English. It will be released after elections as I do not want critics to accuse me of writing a book with elections in mind,” Dr Venkateswara Rao said during a news conference.
He admitted that he was also a part of the coup and said that he went back to N.T. Rama Rao after finding out the real motive behind Mr Chandrababu Naidu’s
plans.
He revealed that his book dealt with the infamous events at the then Hotel Viceroy and the main plot scripted by Mr Naidu to unseat his father-in-law apart from the role played by him and his wife Purandareshwari.
The MLA also disclosed that along with him, the then secretary to NTR, Mr Jayaprakash Narayana, the intelligence department chief, Mr K. Durga Prasad and J. Chalameswar, a well wisher and family friend of NTR were witness to several developments that have not been revealed to anyone yet.
