Hyderabad, Feb. 22: The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, inaugurated the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) University at Rangapur village in Bibinagar mandal of Nalgonda district on Sunday. It was built at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Reddy said the government would take steps to make it a world class university like All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
“The Centre gave Rs 100 crore to set up the Nims university on the outskirts of the city while in Bibinagar the state government paid the entire sum of Rs 100 crore,” Dr Reddy said. The outpatient ward at the in Nims unit will be operational in 15 days.
The Union Minister of state for Health and Family Welfare, Ms Panabaka Lakshmi, and others took part in the programme.
