Anakapalli, April 5: Praja Rajyam’s Lok Sabha candidate from Anakapalle, Mr Allu Aravind, and Mr Nukavarapu Suryaprakasa Rao of the Telugu Desam traded charges against each other at different press conferences here on Sunday.
Mr Aravind alleged that the TD chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, set aside all values and nominated landgrabber Mr Suryaprakasa Rao to contest in the polls. He alleged that Mr Rao amassed crores of rupees by grabbing land which also figured in the Assembly discussions. By giving party ticket such scamsters, the TD has exposed that there was dearth of candidates to fight this elections.
Responding the allegations, Mr Suryaprakasa Rao alleged that Mr Aravind had no moral rights to level allegations against him. In the name of his brother-in-law Chiranjeevi, Mr Aravind earned crores of rupees.
“He converted the Praja Rajyam Party into a business venture and amassed a lot of money from the contesting candidates,” he said.
Mr Rao defended that despite belonging to a backward community, he worked hard in his life to reach this level.
Mr Aravind should feel ashamed of himself for collecting money from candidates and fight an election, Mr Rao alleged.
