Babu stooped low, says Chiru

Visakhapatnam, April 14: Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi on Tuesday challenged the Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu to prove that the candidates belonging to the forward communities were given PR tickets in the guise of BCs.

“I will resign from politics if he (Mr Naidu) can prove that. Will Mr Naidu quit politics if he fails to prove what he alleges?” Chiranjeevi said emotionally.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, the actor said he would stick to the challenge and never withdraw. Stating that he came into politics to sincerely serve people, he said he would not tolerate baseless allegations.

While sticking to social justice, the party had taken some strategic decisions to improve the condition of the people, he added.

The actor said he never expected that Mr Naidu would stoop so low and ask his party workers to tap the phones of the opponents and distribute cash at the booth level.

“I never thought Mr Naidu would be so dangerous. He craves power for which he is resorting to all tactics,” Chiranjeevi said.
