Babu uses Tollywood titles against YSR

BY J.R.PRASAD

Hyderabad, April 19: Rakshasa Rajyam (demon’s rule), Narahantakudu (murderer), Narakasurudu, Bhakasurudu, Kallu tagina koti (drunken monkey), Bhasmasura hastam (self destructive hand), Bandipotlu (bandicoots), Mosagallaku Mosagallu (ace cheats) have ceased to be titles of mythological Tollywood movies.

As the campaign for the second phase of elections comes to an end, the Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, is using these names to attack the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, and present him as a “crooked politician” before the
voters.
Mr Naidu is resorting to this crude attacks in order to counter Dr Reddy’s strategy of using the separate Telangana issue as a trump card against the Mahakuatami in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.
The TD chief is now targeting the Chief Minister and his son Mr Jaganmohan Reddy, personally in his speeches after using the name of NTR and the cash transfer scheme during the first phase of elections.
“All those who witnessed the demon’s rule in the state for the last five years will celebrate Diwali, as the Narakasura (demon) will be killed on April 23,” Mr Naidu said.
The TD chief cautioned voters during road shows that the “hand”, which is the Congress symbol, was a Bhasmasura hastam.
Mr Naidu also called the Chief Minister a Kallu tagina koti (drunken monkey).
The Chief Minister, retaliated against Mr Naidu’s attacks by calling leaders of the Mahakutami dusta chatustayam (evil coterie), “who are opposing the construction of irrigation projects in the state”.
