Anjaneya Reddy quits PR

BY J.R.PRASAD

Hyderabad, April 4: The former IPS officer, Mr C. Anjaneya Reddy, resigned from the Praja Rajyam on Saturday night. He was reportedly angry at the adamant attitude of the party leadership towards the seniors.

This is a significant development as Mr Anjaneya Reddy was a key member in Chiranjeevi’s core committee and was the party’s vice-president.
Mr Anjaneya Reddy, who is also the security adviser to the PR chief, was unhappy over internal developments in the party.
He said there was no difference between PR and other mainstream political parties like the Congress and the Telugu Desam.
“The culture prevailing in other parties is also prevalent in the PR. That is why I decided to quit the party,” Mr Reddy said.
Sources said, Mr Reddy had recommended the candidatures of two aspirants for Assembly seats in Kadapa and Visakhapatnam districts, which the PR leadership did not consider.
“Not only did they not listen to Mr Reddy, the PR leadership also did not inform him while fielding other candidates from those two segments. This annoyed Mr Reddy,” said the source.
