TD ads dot top spots in the city

Hyderabad, April 9: The Telugu Desam is advertising its schemes across vantage points in the in the city to reach out to the voters.

With the Election Commission authorities keeping an hawk eye on parties damaging private and government properties with political graffiti, the parties have no option but to hire outdoor advertisement space in the commercial market.
The TD has booked several hoardings in the city to highlight its election manifesto. The party is mainly targeting the middle and lower strata of society by painting modern bus shelters “yellow.” The bus shelters show the highlights of the TD’s election manifesto like the cash transfer scheme, free colour TV sets and free rice among others.
“Our party (TD) president always had a keen interest in developing the city. It is due to his endeavour that the TD represents so many constituencies in the city,” a senior leader of the Telugu Desam city unit told this newspaper.
Not to be left behind, the Congress too has a large number of hoardings to its credit.
The huge hoarding at Police Lines has a smiling Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and the achievements of the Congress government highlighted. Next in the list are the BJP and the PR.
