Rail yatra to popularise PR symbol

BY J.R.PRASAD

Hyderabad, April 10: The Praja Rajyam, has decided to undertake a statewide three-day Praja Rail Yatra to popularise its “rail engine” poll symbol.

Interestingly, the yatra train will be hauled by an electric and not steam engine.

Party president Chiranjeevi will flag off the train yatra from the Secunderabad railway station on Saturday morning.

The train will touch Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Visakhapatnam, Annavaram, Rajahmundry, Guntur, Ongole, Nellore and other places on its way to Renigunta.

Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja and Allu Aravind’s son Arjun will travel by the train and popularise the symbol among the electorate.

According to the railways CPRO, Mr Frederick Michael, the Praja Rajyam’s yatra train would be allowed to travel only through specified stations. Passengers can board the train, but no public meeting of the party leaders would be allowed in the railway stations.
