Hyderabad Nov. 30: The Winter Session of the Assembly is likely to be hot. The Telugu Desam is planning to attack the Congress government on various fronts, particularly the poor law and order and Telangana issue among the others. The session will begin on Monday at 10 am with a condolence resolution on the death of former Prime Minister V.P. Singh. The government is preparing to take on the Opposition onslaught by flaunting various developmental schemes.
The TD has drawn up over 25 issues including escalation of the cost of Yellampally Irrigation project from Rs 1,366 crore to Rs 1,757 crore, murder of Moddu Srinu in jail and hushing up of evidence in Paritala Ravi murder, failure to nab culprits in Ayesha murder case, destruction of crops due to inclement weather, sale of government and wakf lands, poor conditions of road, erratic power supply, minimum support price of Rs 1,000 on paddy to farmers and other remunerative prices, sanction of advertisement to newspaper owned by the Chief Minister’s family among other issues. “We will tear apart this corrupt government in the Assembly,” Mr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, TD politburo member said.
