Hyderabad, Nov. 9: Surveys conducted by the Telugu Desam and the Praja Rajyam are pointing to a Congress victory. The TD leadership had recently commissioned two statewide surveys to estimate its prospects in the coming polls. One was reportedly conducted by the staff of Narayana Educa-tional Institutions owned by Mr Narayana, close aide of the TD chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, a month ago.
According to sources, this survey predicted 110 to120 seats to the Congress, 70 to 80 seats to the TD and 50 to 60 to the Praja Rajyam. The remaining seats would be shared by the Left, the TRS and others. Chronicle had reported that the Congress’ own survey showed it winning 155 seats, Praja Rajyam 43, Telugu Desam 37, and the TRS 10 without taking poll alliances into consideration.
