PR to talk to Maoists

Hyderabad, Oct. 27: The Praja Rajyam party spokesperson, Mr P. Mitra, has said the party would make every effort to resume talks with the Maoists if voted to power. The party would also stop Maoists in the name of fake encounters. He told mediapersons here on Monday that the PR has a clear policy on the Maoist issue.

"The party sees the Maoist issue as a socio-economic problem rather than a law and order situation," Mr Mitra elaborated. Meanwhile, the PR leaders, Ms Shobha Nagi Reddy and Parakala Prabhakar, met the Governor, Mr N.D. Tiwari, and submitted a memorandum regarding the rapid rise in viral fevers in Adilabad district.
